The development:
Sant Andrea Garden Resort is a charming development offering apartments and villas with communal swimming pool, gardens and wonderful sea views. The complex was built on top of a hill, providing its 28 apartments and 9 villas with magnificent panoramic views of the Ionian Sea. There are 14 two bedroom apartments on the ground floor with lush gardens and independent entrances, 14 two bedroom penthouses on the first floor, and 9 villas with private solariums. All the properties will have car and pedestrian access, fully fitted kitchens, fully fitted bathrooms (spa in the villas), pre installation for air conditioner and satellite TV (Sky). The gated development was stylishly designed to meet the requirements of lifestyle focused overseas investors and to ensure maximum functionality and comfort.

The location:
Sant’Andrea is a typical historic Italian town with characteristic medieval alleys and vestige from the past including Byzantine frescoes and an impressive bastion of the ancient castle. It is situated only 3km away from the beautiful Soverato. Soverato is known as the gem of the Ionian Sea and is one of the tourists’ favourite destinations. This town, the third largest of Calabria, hosts one of the most popular markets of the region where you can find a plethora of bargains. There is also a food market every Friday and a daily fish market. The numerous designer boutiques and jewellers in the pedestrian centre which overlooks the lovely Gulf of Squillace, will delight shoppers. Soverato is packed with bars, restaurants and clubs and, in the summer, there is a nightly funfair on its beautiful white beach. The development is also close to a picturesque hillside village: Isca fascinates the traveller with its beautiful landscapes, its narrow alleys, or its unique family run shops, bars and restaurants. It has also preserved some architectural treasures including palaces, doorways or the ancient town walls.

Activities:

Sant’Andrea Garden Resort being only 900 metres away from the white sandy beaches of the Ionian coast, water activities are very much appreciated: swimming, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, jet skiing, wind surfing, deep sea diving… Other nearby activities are paragliding, skiing, cycling, horse riding or golf: the development is within close proximity of the Santa Caterina Golf Course!

Food and local specialities:
The cuisine of Soverato area reflects the Calabrian gastronomy with its typical dishes, simple but rich of strong and genuine tastes, which comes from its country and sea long tradition. The Calabrian ground gives special olives, citruses, vegetables and wine, which characterize in an unmistakable way the tastes of the typical dishes. In particular, at Soverato, you will find fish or meat dishes, vegetables prepared in various ways, local cheeses, salami and cold pork meat. You must try the ‘scilatelle’ (hand-made pasta similar to big spaghetti) with tomato and basil, the ‘bujhularo’ (sliced lard) with sweet red pepper, the delicious courgette fritters and the courgette flowers. Among the fish main courses, the most famous are ‘stoccafisso con le patate’ (stockfish with potatoes) and the ‘alga ciciaredda’, a kind of fried blue fish.
